My health decline started at a very early age.

Growing up in Michigan, I was sick every winter with bronchitis or strep throat and put on an antibiotic, which was the go-to protocol and in many instances, still is.  The problem with being on so many rounds of antibiotics every year is that they can wipe out essential and beneficial bacteria that are important to your gut’s health. As I got older, I was on birth control, drank alcohol, brushed my teeth with fluoride toothpaste, drank water with chlorine and other contaminants, got vaccinated, had amalgam fillings, ate junk food, drank soda, and lived like everyone else did.  Little did I know then what these things that I deemed as “normal” were doing to my overall health.

In my 20’s, I lived it up without ever thinking about what I was eating or drinking.  I was still young and felt just fine.

When my hubby, Tom, and I met in our early 30s, neither of us knew anything about eating well, removing toxins from our life, or changing our lifestyle, and we were pretty much the typical couple who ate and drank whatever and whenever we wanted.

When we would go out on a date, we would go to a restaurant for dinner and the plan was to go to a movie or someplace else after dinner, but there were many times we had to rush back to my apartment a half hour after dinner because I would have terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea.  It was so embarrassing and I had no idea why I felt that way.

Before we got married in July, 2002, I lost about 10 pounds without even trying to lose any weight. I am a petite person and losing weight was not in my best interest at that time. I had no idea what was going on and ended up seeing a doctor of chiropractic, who suggested I do an elimination diet. I followed his advice and learned that I had a gluten sensitivity and the stress of the wedding exacerbated my symptoms and caused me to lose weight.

When I attended massage therapy school that year, I was exposed to people talking about the dangers of certain foods and drinks. It really piqued my interest after finding out about my gluten sensitivity.  As I went through the massage therapy program, I discovered so many new things and started to really explore the different ideas I kept hearing about from the massage therapists, instructors, and doctors I was around.

As my hubby and I went through life, I kept feeling worse and worse every year.  I was diagnosed with gluten and dairy sensitivities, adrenal fatigue, anemia, horrible menstrual issues, infertility, gut dysbiosis, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder and many other things.  I knew I did not want to go the route of taking a different medication for each symptom so started seeing Functional Medicine Doctors, Chiropractors, and anyone who I thought could help me.

We were desperate to start a family in our early 30s and because of all the previous abuse to my body, it was not an easy road for Tom and I.  It took us awhile to get pregnant with our daughter and have her in 2006 with the help of fertility drugs (little did I know that these drugs were furthering my health issues).  We knew we wanted more children after having Emma and had a challenging time having another baby.  I had two miscarriages in between our two kids, which was devastating, and then had to have even more fertility drugs to help me conceive our son, who was born in 2009.

Throughout raising our kids, I was still not clearing toxins out of my system. I thought eating well, drinking mostly water and exercising was all my body needed to stay healthy. Little did I know that all of the accumulation of medication, vaccines, alcohol, fast food, etc. over the years wore my body down so much.

My gut was a mess from all of this and I was suffering with gut permeability, which let in all different toxins that my body should have been able to naturally fight off. When we get to this stage, our bodies are trying so hard to fight but they need some help.

In 2023 and we had a bit of water in our basement. We could not see or smell any mold but it was there. By this time, I was feeling like something was really off with my health as I was experiencing high blood pressure, brain fog, and lung issues. I knew something wasn’t right but wasn’t sure what it was.

I started doing the hair and saliva bioenergetic testing, that I offer, every couple of months. It’s pretty cool because the test will show what is priority for your body to clear to move down to the next layer of toxins. I refer to this as the “onion” analogy like peeling the layers of an onion.

All of my tests kept coming back with mycotoxins, which are toxic secondary metabolites produced by mold and can be extremely dangerous to your health. The great thing about the bioenergetic testing is that the report comes back with a list of remedies you can take to help your body start clearing these toxins.

Fast forward to 2025 and one of my bioenergetic tests came back showing a resonating toxin called Borrelia, which is Lyme disease. Many Lyme co-infections had been showing up on my previous tests and I was helping my body clear those with the remedies from the test. So, now I know for sure that I need to address Lyme and mold. It has been a struggle for me but I know with the help of bioenergetic testing, my health will keep improving. All of this to say that you can heal and thrive even if your body has gone through a lot like mine.

To YOUR health!
